Privacy policy
Effective November 2, 2026
Think Sharp ("we", "us") runs Think Sharp, a cognitive practice app on the web at thinksharp.com and on iPhone. This policy covers both. It explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain language. If anything is unclear, write to support@thinksharp.com.
The short version
- We collect what we need to run your account and show your progress.
- We store summaries of your exercise results, not a moment by moment record of your play.
- We do not sell your data or show ads. We use Google Analytics for page views only, and only if you say yes.
- You can turn off product analytics in Settings, and you can ask us to delete your account at any time.
What we collect
Account details. Your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. We never see or store your password in plain text.
Sign in with Google. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We do not get your Google password and we do not read your Google data beyond that.
Sign in with Apple. If you choose to sign in with Apple, we receive your email address, or a private relay address if you choose to hide yours, and your name if you choose to share it. We do not get your Apple ID password.
Profile and preferences. What you tell us during onboarding and in Settings, such as your goal, preferred session length, experience level, reminder preference, time zone, and display name.
Practice results. For each exercise you complete, we store a summary: score, accuracy, time taken, response time measures, and difficulty. We also store your workouts, skill trends, and which transfer drills you completed.
What you write. Reflections you add to transfer drills, and notes or check-in answers (such as mood, energy, sleep, or stress ratings) if you choose to give them. These are optional.
Session and device information. When you sign in, we record your IP address and browser user agent with your sign in session. We use this to keep your account secure. In the iPhone app, your sign-in is kept in your iPhone's Keychain.
Product analytics and error reports. If product analytics is on, we record simple events about how the app is used, such as finishing a workout. If something breaks, the app may send us an error report with the page and a short message. Both are stored in our own database. Guests who play without an account may send these too, without any account attached. The iPhone app follows the same product analytics switch in its Settings.
Google Analytics. Only if you choose "Allow analytics" on the banner, we use Google Analytics to count page views, so we can see which pages help people. We send the page address without any query string, and nothing about your exercise results, answers, or scores. We turn off Google signals and ad personalization. We do not load Google Analytics on workout or game screens, and we do not load it if you turned off product analytics in Settings. You can change your choice any time with "Cookie choices" in the site footer. The iPhone app does not use Google Analytics.
Reminders on iPhone. If you turn on daily reminders, the iPhone app schedules them on your phone through Apple's notification system, and asks your permission first. We store only the reminder time you chose.
Server logs. Our servers log each request's method, path, result, and timing. Our hosting provider also keeps standard request logs.
We do not collect payment information. Think Sharp has no paid plans today.
How we use it
- To run your account and sign you in.
- To plan your daily workouts, score exercises, and show your progress.
- To understand which parts of the app work and fix what breaks.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- To answer you when you contact us.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it. We do not use your practice results to make decisions about you outside the app.
Cognitive practice data
Your practice results and check-ins describe how you performed and felt, so we treat them as sensitive. We keep summaries rather than raw gameplay, we only use them to run the app for you, and we never share them for marketing. Think Sharp is for cognitive practice and habit building. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition, and your results are not a medical assessment.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the providers that run the service for us, under their terms as our processors:
- Cloudflare, which hosts the app and our servers.
- Neon, which hosts our database in the United States.
- Google, if you sign in with Google (to confirm who you are) or allow analytics (to count page views).
- Apple, if you sign in with Apple (to confirm who you are). Apple also runs the App Store and TestFlight, which handle app downloads under Apple's own privacy policy.
- Resend, which delivers the password reset emails you ask for (your email address, name and the one-time link).
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the safety or rights of people, or as part of a sale or merger of the service, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your data.
Cookies and browser storage
On the web, we use one cookie to keep you signed in and one that remembers your time zone, so dates show on the right day. We save your analytics choice and a few game preferences, such as sound and your guest starting level, in your browser's local storage. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics sets its own cookies to count page views. We use no advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is open. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account and the data linked to it within 30 days, except where we must keep something to meet a legal obligation. Anonymous analytics and error reports without an account attached are kept for up to 12 months. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider.
Your choices and rights
- Product analytics. Turn it off any time in Settings.
- Google Analytics. Choose "Allow analytics" or "No thanks" on the banner, and change it any time with "Cookie choices" in the site footer.
- Deletion. Use "Delete account" in Settings, on the web or in the iPhone app, to delete your account right away, or write to us.
- Access and correction. You can see and change most of your information in the app. To get a copy of your data, or to correct something you cannot change yourself, write to support@thinksharp.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to access, correct, delete, or move your data, or to object to some uses of it. We honor these requests for everyone, wherever you live. We will not treat you differently for using them.
Security
We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls that check every request belongs to the signed in user. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password you do not use elsewhere.
Children
Think Sharp is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.
Where your data is processed
Think Sharp is operated from the United States, and your data is stored and processed there.
Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change, we will update the date above and post a notice on the site before it takes effect.
